Let's Eat San Diego: In honor of Cosmo Queen Helen Gurley Brown's August passing, let's all drink martinis this month. Pear, traditional cranberry cosmopolitan ok, as long as it's Grey Goose.   • Davanti: Happy 1st birthday and congrats on your Bon Appetit accolade (Top 50 Best New Restaurants for 2012, only SD restaurant mentioned!). Gotta eat the giant sausage-stuffed rigatoni, roasted corn salad (wild mushrooms,chopped walnuts) soft cow cheese stuffed flatbreads.

Cook's Corner: Breakfast radishes, move over. Chop radishes, garlic cloves, anchovies and mix with red wine vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice, pepper and pink sea salt for a heavenly salad unless you plan to kiss all night.
