I Need Louis Vuitton to Make Me Happy

Keith Richards as a spokesman for your company?

I love old rock 'n roll bands. But one that I get tired of hearing about is The Rolling Stones. To me, they have just as many lame songs as great songs. Sure, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, and a few other albums, were classics.

But have you ever seen them live? It's horrid. Mick prances around like a flamer (not that there's anything wrong with that...I just prefer singers giving off a different vibe; even Elton John in concert, can rock out).

And, Jagger always sounds like he just ran a marathon, and can barely get the words out.

I'm also tired of all the Keith Richards stuff. I once saw him do a solo concert tour with his band "The X-pensive Winos." I was standing right behind Bill Walton, the 6'11" former NBA star. I didn't see much of the show.

I never saw Richards in that Depp pirate movie, but was tired of hearing about that.

The fun stories regarding Richard, are great. He fell out of a coconut tree on some tropical island. Then, there was the time he said he snorted the ashes of his dead father.

The latest, is Louis Vuitton naming him to a campaign to promote their "Core Values" line, which includes travel luggage and other accessories.

Maybe they picked him because his face looks like an old suitcase, I dunno.

Annie Leibovitz, the famous photographer who recently had photos shown in Balboa Park, took the shot of Richards cradling his guitar in a hotel room, with a tagline that said "Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3 am. Blues in C."

Well, since we recently heard about the little girl in the Hillary Clinton commercial, being a lot older now and an Obama supporter...I'm guessing we'll hear that this photo was really taken at a studio, not in a hotel. And at 3:00 p.m.
