Cell Phones (in cars, trains, buses, movie theatres, press conferences...)
Last weekend my husband and I saw Star Trek at Parkway Plaza. They asked us if we would take a monitor of some sort that we can buzz. The four options are picture, sound, something and other disturbances. I thought it was a survey that would keep track of problems. Well, there was a part in the movie that was really loud and then it became quiet. Or it should have become quiet if it wasn't for the stupid lady who was practically yelling on her cell phone. I don't remember what she was barking about. I pressed the other disturbances button. I didn't know the manager would actually walk into the theatre to check out the problem. Unfortunately by then she wasn't on her phone and the manager probably thought I just pressed it to see what would happen.— May 14, 2009 1:28 p.m.
Coffee From Heaven
I wish I had the cajones to do just that, but I did leave the waitress an extra tip and I wrote SORRY on the receipt.— March 4, 2009 11:43 a.m.
Coffee From Heaven
My co-workers would have birthday luncheons at restaurants nearby. One or two particular co-workers would always complain about something. Once they asked for more raisin bread at Mimi's because the already full basket of bread on the table was cold or they would ask for extra lemons but would only use one of them. (same person) With a group of 9 to 11 people attending I don't expect the fastest service but of course these same people complain that it's too slow and of course would like a free lunch. Fortunately they never received a free lunch. They would always have a bad attitude about it too. I don't go out with them anymore. I would have to say I went to El Torito's in La Mesa and bit into a piece of white ceramic. I contemplated on whether or not to say anything because I didn't want them to think I planted it to try to get a free meal. I only said something because I didn't want someone else to have something worst happen to them if they bite into ceramic pieces. The manager was nice enough to come over and offer to pay for the meal. I refused saying I just wanted to prevent someone else of taking advantage of the situation. The manager said he threw out the sour cream since that is where I think it came from. We paid full price for the meal but he caught us as we were pulling out of our parking spot. He gave us 2 free meal coupons.— March 3, 2009 11:37 a.m.
