neighborhoods/poway -- Poway
Went hiking in Blue Sky Reserve the other day. This is the second time. First time I went it was cooler and I took the path out of the reserve towards Lake Poway. This time it was hot and we ALMOST made it up to Ramona lake, but we were running low on water and had to turn back. The reserve is beautiful and an easy walk. The path to Poway lake is more difficult than going through the reserve, but not as steep as the way to Ramona lake. If you go, definitely bring a lot of water. There's no water there to refill a bottle and once you start heading out of the reserve toward either of the lakes there's very little shade. But it's a beautiful walk and great exercise. Does anyone else spend time in Blue Sky reserve? Any suggestions for other beautiful hikes?— May 4, 2013 11:45 a.m.
