Sick of Vick
Atlanta vs New Orleans. One of the first Monday Night Football games I decided to skip watching. Not due to any current matter, just not interested. I heard this morning that some fans in the stadium as well as a player were wearing "Free Vick" shirts. I am a bit bothered by the shirts, but this is my own issue to deal with. Not that I didn't expect them. I can recall going to 4th of July in DC and seeing "Free Tyson" shirts for miles and miles. This, has always seemed to be the fad and I'm sure the "Free Vick" shirts have been running through Atlanta for sometime now. With that said, I can deal with seeing a "Free Vick" shirt. I cannot deal with, say the "Free Mumia" shirts. So, the fans were not the issue. My issues lie with the fact this player had on this shirt. I hope, he gets fined. It's not appropriate and it's not something the team or NFL should condone. The NFL had to threat certin players wtih fines so they would remove Pat Tillmans number from their helmets making this matter should be no different. It's not the biggest issue facing the NFL today, but it's one I hope does not go overlooked— December 11, 2007 10:34 a.m.
Da Bomb
I'm not saying it's right, I'm saying this is how our system works. Although, I'm not even sure if this would be something someone could sue over. However, using the line "another idiotic lawsuit" line, that tells me it probably is.— December 11, 2007 8:15 a.m.

Yes, it would be another idiotic civil suit. Let's clarify something here, I side more with Daily Crasher on this. However, I am trying to point out one possible sides argument as to why people must be evacuated when a threat is called in. First, is the obvious, that one in a billion chance (yes, I know, one in a billion) where the threat is real (which it won't be) and then several other branches which stem from that tree. Insurance issues and lawsuits possibly being one of them.— December 11, 2007 8:12 a.m.

Well, the problem is I think they can sue you even if nothing goes Kaboom.— December 10, 2007 6:41 p.m.
Logic of the Moronic
Dickey Nutt needs to introduce himself to the Beastie Boys. There's a clip for the next album somewhere in all of this.— December 10, 2007 12:47 p.m.

If the guy or girl sounds anything like Apu from the Simpsons then run, with all your might. No, in all seriousness - It's true, these threats never seem to be valid. However, what happens the 1 in a billion time that it is valid? I would assume if you are a business owner you must have everyone evacuate due to a threat. If employees found out you did otherwise, I assume they could sue and I do not think this would be covered under any insurance since you are the one willing to take the risk.— December 10, 2007 12:46 p.m.
Cuts Like a Knife
Screw it, I think I'd use my teeth if it meant me sitting there waiting to die or me getting out alive. And I'm vegetarian. Plus, imagine how bored (and in pain) you would be sitting there waiting to die. May as well fill your time with something.— December 4, 2007 12:53 p.m.
Cuts Like a Knife
Yes, but if you lost your arm you would posses the widdeling skills to create a new one. Peg arm (does this work, like peg leg)? I've heard a few stories like this over the years. It's amazing what people can/will do when put to true Survivor mode test. And I don't mean Jeff Probe (Probst?) CBS/NBC (whatever network) Survivor, I'm speaking of arm comes off with a pocket knife survival. This is why we're at the top of the food chain.— December 4, 2007 12:52 a.m.
Everything Gives you Cancer
I'm guessing the pesticides on your tomatoes are giving you cancer somewhere else while making your prostate cancer free. So smoke your cigars, work the night shifts, shake hands with the Chinese and lick the walls where the signs listing the Prop 65 warnings exist. We can't stop it, and there may be a study which comes out in a couple years saying these are the best things you can do for your health.— December 3, 2007 11:30 a.m.
Everything Gives you Cancer
Oh, a slightly funny story actually which goes along with this. I went to Disney's California Adventure with my friend and her son a few years ago. We were checking out the gift store and I slowly made my way into the jewelry section to check out things I may be able to purchase for a little girl. As I round the corner of one of the jewelry displays I see a sign posted right in front of one of the jewelry racks that say the same exact thing which is posted by my mailbox at work. Another lady shopping had stopped to read the same sign about the same time I did. After I finished reading the sign I said "okay, never mind then" and we both walked right out of the store. I can only imagine how many cancer causing Minnie Mounse and Tinkerbelle chains are hanging around the necks of today's youth. By the way, it wasn't all of the jewelry that this sign was posted in front of, just the cheap goods. So if you own a diamond Micky ears earrings, don't fret and let your bling shine on.— December 3, 2007 11:09 a.m.
