"So I am older, but no one would say I am wiser." Well, you weren't in the running for Pope, at least I presume not. So that put's you one up on the fisherman right there!!!!— March 14, 2013 8:49 a.m.
San Diegans in their 20s don't make enough for rent
Don Bauder, Agreed. However, as I said, I was referring only to the cost of housing, by zip code, from a Forbes list and was making no political reference, either directly or implied.— March 13, 2013 3:30 p.m.
San Diegans in their 20s don't make enough for rent
I was referring strictly to a previous conversation(s) on one of your blogs/stories in which the topic was most expensive housing zip codes., form the Forbes list if I remember correctly. I was making no political reference at all— March 13, 2013 10:13 a.m.

San Diegans in their 20s don't make enough for rent
Don Bauder, It depends on the methodology. I prefer this report http://nlihc.org/oor/2012 or, if you just want to read the story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/14/san-fran… or there's this one, listed by state http://abcnews.go.com/Business/10-expensive-10-af…. The is a plethora of lists, depending on which methodology and which criterion you choose.— March 12, 2013 9:13 a.m.
San Diegans in their 20s don't make enough for rent
Don Bauder, I think that some would also say that some religious "leaders" are also despots, such as some of those in the catholic church, for example.— March 11, 2013 10:41 a.m.
City refuses to pay $7.6 million to man paralyzed by a fallen tree. Requests new trial.
Based on available photos, it seems clear that the trees in question were planted between the sidewalk and the curb, which is city property. A spokesman for the city attorney was quoted as saying "It would be impossible to inspect every tree in the right of way, and the law does not require cities to do so.", the deputy city attorney said"“There is no way anyone, including the city of San Diego, can predict if a tree will fall during a storm, which tree may fall during a storm, or when a tree may fall during a storm,”, and an arborist said the palms had been there since the '20's or '30's. Can't really see where the city has grounds for a new trial. Unless, of course, the city wants to claim that it had inadequate legal representation, at the first trial, which based on what I've been reading lately could actually be true. LOL— March 11, 2013 10:32 a.m.
