So far in 2008, San Diego has 23 cases of human West Nile virus
It is pretty interesting that this mosquito problem has come to San Diego and Southern California. There is something that can help however. There is a non-toxic easy to use solution to help protect yourself from desease carring mosquitoes, and other bugs. It is a simple good smelling small badge that you wear to protect against mosquitoe bites and other insects. You pin on a small badge, and it lasts for up to 200 hours. They are non greasy, non-toxic, waterproof, and are low cost. Whenever we go camping or travel, we always bring a box of these with us, and share them with many people. Now, we may need to keep them handy for use in Southern Cal. It is not just for bites, it is a real health concern, and a real problem. here is a link to the largest distributor of these important Mosquito fighting bug buttons. http://www.storepulls.com/products/bug_button-264… They are coming out with a whole new line of these in February 2009. They will have wrist bands, badges, in different shapes and sizes to accommodate almost anyone's needs. Churches who travel to Africa, anyone going hiking, fishing, camping, should stock up on these. The company has been sending these to the troops in Iraq for the past year, and plans to send many more. hope this helps, John Lerner— January 27, 2009 4:47 p.m.
