Re: "Nothing to lose' Honestly, the Reader is officially pure fish wrap. The Reader used to be informative, insightful, quirky and edgy (no wonder you reprint features and have a reader nostalgia section to remind us of what the Reader used to be). It seems the reader is following the ABC's - A - articles - are awful B - brizzola, board, barbella, bauder = BORING C - classified - crappy coupons, cannabis cultivators, cleavage constructors, clinical client callers You can add color and put in new binding but your content sucks. We are cursed with two s**t publication, the Union and the Reader .....at least there's the Hot Sheet!— February 4, 2010 6:45 p.m.

North Park is a great place to live! My point to adamcrisis is lets not look backward to the way North Park was but embrace the place it has become.— November 27, 2008 8:33 a.m.
A Facelift for the Imperial Beach Pier: Would That Facelift Include Better Law Enforcement On It?
You are absolutely accurate, while a face lift is needed enforecment of the rules and regs is a must!!— November 27, 2008 8:27 a.m.
Five Years on the Street
Wow, Herion Chronicles and Five Years on the Street. The Reader has street cred. Can you publish my story, ok here goes...I drove into San Diego in my rusty car, broke, divorced and hooked on drugs, man. Things got worse, I met some people, got into trouble, spent time in jail, got out, got a body part infected, went to the ER, car got stolen, sent in my story to the Reader. Stop already, the homeless in San Deigo experience is tired and your crappy fish wrap has beat this topic to death...Stop already.— November 5, 2008 9:32 p.m.
I.B.'s Five Faves
Imperial Beach remains the most shortsided community in the nation, small minds, petty problems, cliques, no wonder it remains the laughing stock of all beach communities. This cell phone tower was processed and approved by all levels of staff including community groups, planning, design without any opposition. The council as in all past cases involving cell sites normally would rubber stamp their approval, but not this time. It was the council who requested the original continuance under the guise of "time is not an issue lets just get this right". The applicant needed a continuance to try to comply with the random uneducated wishes of the city council and needed the community manager present. When the possibilty existed that the extension would not include the brilliant current council memebers the extension to december was denied. Bulls*** politics as usual in Imperial Beach.— October 26, 2008 8:56 p.m.
