Early Word on U-T Transition: Hope Winner Stays
Well, let's just hope that this is similar to the "vote of confidence" given to baseball managers just before they're fired.— May 5, 2009 11:57 a.m.
Norv Turner's dinner in Los Angeles
Hey Spliff Maybe we fake fans are just fed up. Loyalty is a 2 way street. You don't blindly follow an organization that has not only had fan support but ripped the taxpayers mericlessly in the opinion of some people. It should interest you to know that according to ESPN the Chargers were 16th in home attendance and drew more fans at home last season than Pittsburg and Chicago amongst others. Your "loyal" Lion fans were 30th in attendance! What do we get in return? We'll leave town if you dont build us a new stadium!! Yes we want a winner or we can put our money and time elsewhere. That's not new. I remember the days when the Chicago Cubs played before 500 fans at Wrigley. Why is it "fair weather" when the fans get upset and lose interest, but a "business decision" when the team decides to leave, milk another cow for a few years and who knows , maybe move again.— April 22, 2009 12:15 p.m.
