San Diego lost roads, motorcycle lovers, Silberman-Jerry Brown wiretaps, hitchhiker danger, 10K feet of baseboards, stucco everywhere

I'm a retired university administrator with a second career as a freelance writer. My bi-weekly op-ed column, "The Riehl World," appeared in San Diego's North County Times until recently, when it was swallowed up by U-T San Diego.
When I'm not writing I build scale model airplanes, play my guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele and harmonica, and spend quality time with my novelist wife and love of my life, Karen, and our toy poodle, Olivia.
