Filner, Goldsmith slated to meet tomorrow
"Think about the precendent you are setting in saying thay 'due process' is negated by the sheer volume of accusers." When did I say this? Please provide a citation. This is not actually what I believe, so I'm curious about where I said it. Are you mixing me up with VOSD's Scott Lewis, perhaps? I'm an independent writer. I don't speak for him and he doesn't speak for me. But I don't think that's exactly what he believes either.— August 18, 2013 9:13 p.m.
Filner, Goldsmith slated to meet tomorrow
My question again: Please define what due process means. At what point is due process over and it's time for him to quit or be removed? It sounds like you accept NO end point of due process as appropriate to require his resignation or removal. Is that correct?— August 18, 2013 8:39 p.m.

That doesn't answer my question. At what point is due process over and it's time for him to quit or be removed?— August 18, 2013 8:23 p.m.
Filner, Goldsmith slated to meet tomorrow
I'm asking this as a reporter, so I'm looking for comments (by people with real names) that I can quote. If you believe the mayor deserves "due process" and is not getting through the recall effort: Please define what due process means. At what point is due process over and it's time for him to quit or be removed? Does he need to be convicted of a felony? A misdemeanor? Of a specific type of crime? Does he need to be sentenced to jail? To prison? Would a civil verdict against him be enough? What if it's for $1 in damages? Would you wait for appeals to run out? Or is a verdict/conviction enough?— August 18, 2013 7:28 p.m.
How Goldsmith tries the Filner case on TV
I wonder if some people's fortes are having undisclosed flings with Reader journalists. But I digress. Anyone who thinks KPBS wants a Pulitzer is the one who deserves a spanking. As a broadcast entity, it is not eligible.— August 18, 2013 1:29 a.m.
Was Filner's office bugged by long distance microphone?
Occam's razor theory: Journalists love to write anniversary stories. So one of them wrote one.— August 11, 2013 7:49 p.m.
Who's investigating Filner? It's who's NOT investigating him
dwbat: Everybody is in on it. Everybody. Especially you and me, but also everybody. Shhhh. They're listening.— August 8, 2013 8:41 p.m.

Many of these women cannot sue due to statutes of limitations and other factors. They will (and have) get viciously smeared online. Their names will be ever-connected to a sleazy scandal.— August 8, 2013 8:37 p.m.

Fascinating. Do tell how the military victims of rape fit in to this picture. Or the most progressive newspaper in the city. Or nearly the entire Democratic leadership. Or the injured Marine and her nurse. Or the progressive ex-head of communications.— August 7, 2013 7:41 p.m.
Who's investigating Filner? It's who's NOT investigating him
The show you're talking about realized the error of its ways and began featuring alternative voices (including some from the alternative press) about 10 years ago. There was quite a fuss about this at the time via Mr. Kittle. Do keep up, Don.— August 7, 2013 12:29 p.m.
