Not So Fast, Faulconer
Hmmm....prohibition caused crime to get worse the first time around and now we're seeing the same thing this time. I guess all those religious fanatics counseling Faulconer were wrong--you can't fix homelessness by kicking them off the beach. As for the house parties--hello? Anyone listen to the chief of police when he said the problem would only get worse once it was in the neighborhoods and private property. Now we're wasting all of our police manpower sniffing cups and chasing down house parties, while the city attorney is spending his time campaigning rather than doing his job. This city is so full of puritans and bush-leaguers it's ridiculous.— July 30, 2008 4:06 p.m.
