Group Charges Imperial, SDGE Negotiated in Secret
The opaque 59450 Commission is a small group of wealthy Republican farmers who have spent millions of dollars in legal fees fighting the local Imperial Irrigation District (IID) on water transfer issues. In the past they have used a nonprofit called COLAB and recently a PAC called Imperial First. MIke is being used as a "pitbull" by this wealthy elite group. The Sempra/SDGE is simply a "red herring" to detract from the real issue. In the past years they have spend millions of dollars in legal fees in filing frivilous lawsuits on water rights.. The real issue is owning the water and the public agency (IID) legally owns the water. Mike has sold his soul and all he is doing is litigating against poor, low-income residents of Imperial County who are paying the legal fees for (IID) with costly utility bills. Don- you need to start digging on these past lawsuits by these wealthy farmers who own luxury houses in Del Mar and La Jolla. Interesting history with a disbarred attorney. Old Mark Twain quote " whisky is for drinking- water is for fighting:— May 15, 2012 9:48 p.m.

Calexico Unified School District's Similarities with Sweetwater
Think hard when you disagree with a newspaper who buys inks by the barrel and who has a core legion of Facebook contributors. Facebook has changed social media thus information is quickly distributed from region to region. The District Attorney's recent indictments has created a large bases of both SD Union Tribune and Reader bloggers who shall remain anonymous. Mr. David Garcia, Public Information Officer, GCR has certainly opened up a new Pandoras Box on GCR legal issues in Santa Clara Superior Court. Why is GCR so defensive? What was GCR's connections to Scott Alevy and former US Attorney Vega. Why did GCR get involved in political donations to indicted school board members? Who is Laura Martinez and her affiliation to GCR? I read another blog last week that GCR has another lawsuit with the United States Government. That needs to be verified. Don't make a generalization about Rogelio Ruiz. He has a good reputation in Santa Clara county and is associated with a top-tier law firm. Mr. Garcia, start answering questions. Don't try to spin the factual news put forth by Susan L. She is doing her job.— January 20, 2012 2:54 p.m.
