A Simple Favor
About 75% of the movie was great. Really creepy at points. But then it spiraled into a mess and Matthew is right on: "Director Paul Feig doesn’t seem able to decide whether he’s making a slightly outré crime comedy, a blithely twisted relationship thriller, a brightly lit horror melodrama, or maybe an arch meta-take on all three." The director should have stuck with quirky and creepy. The last 1/2 hour was a waste.— December 16, 2018 2:57 a.m.
