Border-closure protest goes nowhere
So block US citizens and people coming up from Mexico legally to protest illegal intrusion? Makes no sense. Go block the welfare offices and ERs to everyone who isn't spewing blood. Why can't we get a President, D or R, who's ready and willing to actually enforce the law? How about a Congress with the courage to change laws that provide shelter and benefits to illegal aliens? Immediately deport those who are here illegally. Let them exercise their "right" to due process in a US Consulate in their home country... if they can prove that they should be here,w e can apologize and fly them back. This would cost far, far less; even if we gave them all First Class tickets; than the current system of helping them all line up and fill out forms for endless free handouts.— September 22, 2014 3:08 p.m.

Coronado eucalyptus trees destined for doom
“We’re going to mobilize the neighbors.” To do what? "We demand the right to have dead trees fall on us!" Sheesh...— September 11, 2014 12:27 p.m.
Coronado eucalyptus trees destined for doom
“I just got my letter on Saturday and here we are on a Wednesday,” Watson said on September 10. “The whole thing happened without any notice whatsoever.” SO WHAT??? What are you going to do with "notice"?— September 11, 2014 12:26 p.m.

Umm, where's the problem? Sure, if I buy homemade cheese from some random guy, sure, I might get sick... but why isn't that my choice to make?— September 8, 2014 12:19 p.m.
Fast-food workers vs. fat cats
"I’m tired of making $9 an hour. I can’t live off it. None of us can. I’m tired of being afraid I might be homeless because I can’t afford the rent here" So, either learn to do something useful that's worth more than $9 an hour, or move to Oklahoma where the cost of living is half of what it is here. Or starve.— September 6, 2014 3:03 p.m.
Fast-food workers vs. fat cats
The small business owners these greedy thugs are trying to hold up are NOT "fat cats". It is impossible to double the cost of labor and not expect some sort of consequences. Those consequences will be layoffs, automation, and higher unemployment. If you believe otherwise, I have some prime oceanfront property in Florida for sale, cheap.— September 6, 2014 3:02 p.m.
