Climate change candidate John Brooks frozen out
Hey Noreen, Sorry for the confusion. This article was meant to be about candidates being excluded from the political process, not forcing people to vote. The "civic duty" part was a very small part of a longer conversation about why public forums should not exclude candidates. People tend not to research the issues or on who is running for office. Instead voters tend to vote on name recognition, political ads, endorsements, and who their friends or family are voting for. The civic conversation came up as a way to get people engaged in democracy. I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to engage people in the voting process. Rebirth of the Cool: The Strange Plethora of Jazz Jams in San Diego
This is a really cool jam. Top notch players allow average players like me to sit in. Its the only way to improve!— January 8, 2012 12:27 p.m.
