Why No Women Chefs in Top Ten?
First I must say that I absolutely love your reviews and open to them first with every new edition of the Reader. As far as not including Deborah Scott, that just cemented my respect for you even further. I have never thought she was a great or innovative chef and almost never have gone back for a second turn at any of her restaurants. After a good friend who's also a chef shared some things after working for her, I had even less desire to eat her meals. Then, after the Cohns made her head chef for the entire CRG dynasty, I've pretty much avoided any of their restaurants. IMO, you can spend your money for much more exciting and quality meals around San Diego. I do wonder though why San Diego is so bereft of great women chefs.....— November 3, 2010 2:42 p.m.
