Haitian immigrant discovers a Mexican dream
These are folks who deserve assistance. If I had the place and money, I would try to sponsor them. Maybe there is some wealthy person out there that could give these folks a good home in exchange for housekeeper, gardening, or other home assistance. We, the public, are so pressed to help the homeless, lazy, drug seekers, when there are folks out there that really deserve assistance. There is something wrong with this picture. Just my 2 cents.— October 4, 2017 7:48 p.m.
Book-clubbers meet over gin and St. Germaine cocktails
Be happy you have a book club that actually meets every month. I joined one and 3 out of 6 months it was cancelled "at the last minute" , the book changed well into the month period (certainly after one would have purchased and begun reading the book), and meeting in less than an ideal location. It's sounds like you have a fun group of folks that just want to get together and visit, even if it is around the book club ruse. Enjoy your friends and read because you want to.
