I wish he'd just have called it fiction. It was more real to me than what passes as history. But, I hope he didn't have to grovel too much, it's one of my favorite books. Hell, when I try to remember things in my life, I can never tell after awhile what really happened from what I feared would happen. You column is my favorite and it's in the perfect spot - desert!
