Non-Partisan Political Action Committee with a Partisan History to Host Dumanis Fundraiser
Run Women Run extended an invitation to complete our Endorsement Questionnaire to all candidates, male and female, who we could locate, who are running for office in the June 5th primary. While we only endorse viable, qualified, pro-choice women, we inform our members of all candidates who complete the questionnaire who meet our criteria. District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis is the only Republican woman who applied for our endorsement and met our pro-choice criteria. We were pleased to have endorsed a total of ten women candidates. These women are running for Senate, Congress, State Assembly and City Councils. The fact that 9 out of 10 of them are Democrats is a reflection of Democratic Party's support of women candidates and women's reproductive rights. While Run Women Run, as an organization, endorses candidates, our members are actively involved in supporting the candidates of their choice regardless of gender or Party affiliation.— May 1, 2012 8:21 a.m.
