Sweetwater runs afoul of state Public Records Act
Check out "Blogger vs. Behemoths" here on the Reader, featuring some of your favorites and mine, Mr. Shinoff and friends. He of the lovely presentation on how to know your place, sit down, shut up and let Sweetwater do what it wants...can you say corporate intimidation clothed in civil trappings? Can you say, just another way for Ed Brand to spend/waste tax dollars and keep his friends driving nice cars? A great line from the "Blogger" piece...goes something like this: If anyone is using this law firm, they are hiding something. Gosh, you think?— June 26, 2013 4:37 p.m.
Blogger vs. behemoths
I would just like to add, in case anyone needs more information about Shinoff, et al, that if you Google "Shinoff and Sweetwater" you will get a near endless list of reading material. The most recent being the presentation on behavior at the recent board meeting, meant to make all members of the public sit in awe of the great personages sitting before us, chastising the public for being argumentative towards board members and Brand--despite all the wrong-doing on their side. And of course, the Sweetwater district paid using our tax dollars for this line of claptrap. Shinoff lecturing US on proper behavior. As if any such scruples have ever stopped that bunch. Nerve? Oh, I'll say. More bullying from those that have spend their lifetimes acquiring the skill. I wish you all that is good, Ms. Larkins, and hope that 'truth, justice and the American way' isn't just the tag line of a joke.— June 26, 2013 4:32 p.m.
Report on teacher training programs rips local universities
This is a bogus study, done by a bogus group--all very pro Common Core, which is quite the rage these days. The worst of it is that data mining becomes the driving concern with Common Core. All part of the corporatization of the public school system, something that I find wrong and frightening.— June 26, 2013 4:23 p.m.

Sweetwater runs afoul of state Public Records Act
So we are pretty sure the tactics currently being employed by those who are indicted is to "stay in place", thereby attempting to give the impression that all is well. The tactics by the Sweetwater District Office as lead by Fast Eddy, scammer of scammers, include stalling on all requests for public documents, as well as continuing 'business as usual' with real estate deals chugging along (as noted in the recent Star-News). So does that make three real estate deals happening? 3rd Avenue, not too far from St. Rose of Lima. L Street, otherwise known as the Grand Fiasco, the pit wherein what--upwards of $20 million of Sweetwater's best have been laid to rest? And then Moss St. Let's not forget all the arrangements with the institutions of higher learning...so amazing that so very little gets done in the open air where we can see it. Mr. Brickley, you are right. If we know about what I just mentioned, yet Fast Eddy and friends are not sharing more, it is because they have more to hide. We might as well prepare ourselves. It isn't going to be pretty. It isn't going to be nice. It is as if this district has been carved into pieces of cake and given out to friends at the District Garden Party. And the school children are looking in through the wrought iron gates at what used to be *their* school district.— June 25, 2013 3:07 p.m.
Sweetwater trustee reports stolen property to police
Would that retired teacher and decorated Vietnam vet care to think about running for a position on the school board? Sounds like someone we could use.— June 24, 2013 11:04 p.m.
Sweetwater trustee reports stolen property to police
So, does anyone know the upshot of this nonsense? Any charges actually filed? Any summons? Any pending court dates for McCann? Having to do with someone "stealing" his sign?— June 24, 2013 3:53 p.m.
Sweetwater trustee reports stolen property to police
It certainly shows that he can't learn from a 'teachable moment'. Which is a sad comment for someone on a school board. Must be part of some sort of deliberate and conscious effort to remain oblivious. Yes, it is time we had some people on the school board with some backbone who also would have the ability to use reason, assess situations with accuracy and know how to act with decency, diplomacy and intelligence. What a change that would be.— June 22, 2013 6:48 a.m.

You only undermine yourself being flippant--do you or do you not have any depth of character? Honor? Wish to appear anything other than a buffoon? It is, after all, your choice.— June 21, 2013 1:32 p.m.
