neighborhoods/city-heights -- City Heights
First the city removed the public trash bins on the east and west sides of Van Dyke, just north of University. Then someone removed the (concrete) picnic table with benches in front of Albertson's and the pizza joint. Now even the one public bench in the whole 'community' area has disappeared! Now even those of us past 60 can just sit on the curb I guess. I ask you, is this any way to treat a community? Even if we shared those resources with those who may have a more transient existence? Would this happen in Hillcrest? In Ocean Beach?— July 13, 2013 12:13 a.m.
