S.D. cop sergeant paid $359,138; Todd Gloria lieutenant receives $439,530
I don't begrudge cops doing paid duty to augment their income. That's fair. But I think it's time to reexamine our pension obligations here. Perhaps CALPERS isn't in our best interest anymore, and it's time to allow current LEO to stay on whatever they are doing and move new force members to a 401k model like the rest of the country is on.— July 25, 2022 7:57 p.m.
Food security at Rady Shell holds back fans
I will agree. The security line left us agreeing that we're not coming back this season. Fine... you want us to go through a metal detector... I understand. But this isn't a weapons lab - it's a bandshell.— July 25, 2022 7:53 p.m.
Chris Rodriguez bows out of Oceanside politics
I think we can agree that while you might want him as a neighbor or enjoy a chat with him standing in line waiting to get your oil changed, any politician who posts a Christmas photo of them with an assault rifle in front of a Christmas tree likely lacks the maturity and gravitas to represent those of us in District 2. You can be pro-gun (like me) without making it central to your identity.— July 25, 2022 7:51 p.m.
