Kelsea's Law
Hello I am so very sorry for your loss. My name is Brandy. I am now 23 years old and a widow due to the fact of methadone. My husband died on june 9th 2007. only six days from his 21st birthday. My husband died of an overdose because he took 10 miligrams of methodone and his perscription of Zoloft. Its hard and i think of it all the time. My husband has not only left me and our family behind he left our daughter who was only 2 months and 4days old. The person who gave him the methadone only got 20 days in jail because the judge said he had to go by Oregon state guide lines. So now my mother inlaw and i are working on getting a law called Brandons Law passed. If it passes any person giving out there medications will be given a minimum of 1 year in prison. and if they make the person die they will get a minimum of 3 years in prison. Its still not going to bring my husband or my daughters dad back but maybe it will help save other lives. I am truely sorry for your loss. Brandy [email protected]— July 25, 2008 2:24 p.m.
