The Worm Turns
All the women in the pic are hot, but the one in the white (with the lucky dog's arm around her - hopefully, he's gay!) is such an uber-hottie. You may qoute me on that. :o)— August 15, 2008 3:05 p.m.
Sumo Follies
That's one thing I miss about living in San Diego: block parties. I lived all over IB, OB, PB, CV, Hillcrest (before people knew it as gay central), Kensington, Abby-normal Heights, even out into East San Diego. Very few areas didn't have block parties back in the day. North County...not so much. Well, those were the good old days.— August 15, 2008 3:02 p.m.
Movie Critics
PS: Will Farrell sux worse than any 3 actors put together.— August 15, 2008 2:45 p.m.
Movie Critics
I've long lived by the rule that "if the critics hate it, I'm more than likely gonna love it." Hasn't failed me yet; at least not that I can remember.— August 15, 2008 2:44 p.m.
Goodby Comic Con
I never was all that interested in ComicCon, and I've been around long enough to have attended all or most of them from the beginning. I'm not surprised at the security, though. To me, it's a foreshadowing of what is to come in our society. The police have become a paramilitary branch of the government (at all levels), and no matter what the individual motivation to become a cop, the police no longer exist to "protect and serve." No, they are interested in keeping the peace...and that's about it.— August 15, 2008 2:42 p.m.
Would You Clone a Booger?
That's funny Josh, because years ago (back in the late 70's), I was going to school out in the midwest. While there, I made friends with a woman who had a dog named (you guessed it) Booger. Booger was a black lab/husky/pitbull mix. She was a good dog...weird, tho. She much preferred to stay outside, even in inclement weather, than to come inside.— August 8, 2008 1:25 p.m.
Subway Sandwich Shenanigans
There's a lot of bait-and-switch going on out there. Wife and I bought washer, a matching dryer, and a grill, for a total of almost a $1000.00 a few weeks ago. Remember in the commercial where they say "free delivery"? That's a lie. It's free delivery if you buy any one item over a certain amount (don't remember what the amount is, but it's not over a $1000.00). Obviously, our 3 items that totaled more than that amount didn't count. Silly us; how could we not know that? We're not going to be going back to Lowes any time soon.— August 8, 2008 1:21 p.m.
Ocotillo Wells land owner fed up with off-roaders
Prosecuter Daly is a perfect example of how women have ruined this country; how they have 'pussified' us to the point where no other nation in the entire world has any respect for us. Punks like those bikers are raised by women to feel that they have a perfect right to say and do and go anywhere they damn well please, and if you interfere with them, then you are the bad guy. Women have made it so that you cannot even defend you life, your property, or anyone else's, for fear that it is one of their precious little darlings you might shoot in that defense. And no, I don't hate women. In fact, I absolutely adore women. I simply don't have any illusions that they are all perfect goddesses without spot, wrinkle, or blemish. They are absolutely out of control, but who's going to stop them? Certainly not us pussified American males. The worst part is, they've reshaped us in their own image, and now they despise us for it.— July 26, 2008 4:04 a.m.
What's the first concert you saw?
The early '70s were a blur, but I did see Don Ho in Hawaii. Also saw Marshall Tucker Band/Doobie Brothers in old Balboa Stadium. What else? Anyone remember Organ Power Pizza in PB? That was a solo concert...that thing was just amazing. Can't remember which one came first...I'd have to say Don Ho.— July 23, 2008 9:43 a.m.
