"He was simply and flatly robbed, AG!!!! Does American Idol have any credibility left????" I'm not entirely sure whether the AI voting process is on the up & up, but I think it probably is. From what I could tell on the night of the voting, he won clearly on both coasts, but unfortunately, there's the rest of the country to consider. Apparently, he just about gave the heartland a heart attack. :)— November 23, 2009 3:31 p.m.

Well, I love Adam & thought he should've won AI (although it's best for him that he didn't). His level of professionalism was just so far above everyone that had ever been on AI before, there was no comparison. He's unbelievably talented. I'd already heard this song on YouTube when it came out. Didn't like it then, don't like it now. The whole California S&M "requirement" is a pretty sore subject. No pun intended. Somewhere, there's a middle ground to be found between being shoved in a closet and letting your sexuality be absolutely exploited for the sake of sensationalism and ratings. I hope he finds it, and stands his ground there when he does.— November 23, 2009 3:01 p.m.
South Park Cat Tales: My Wherabouts & a Small Favor (#6)
Stella! Good to see you again. That picture's freaky. Why? Because a couple of weeks ago, when I was spending the morning working on the Symbiosis/Taoism post, I went to the refrigerator to make my version of a PB&J (which would be a brown tortilla wrap instead of bread.) Anyway.... When I opened the jar of Smucker's Sugar Free Concord Grape Jam, there was, in fact, a perfect jelly smiley face looking up at me from the inside of the lid, with one small difference: The eyes had a distinctly Asian shape. Apparently, Lao Tzu was pleased. :) Don't worry, Stella -- Dexter will land on his feet. So will your Uprighter. He's Ninja Jesus.— November 22, 2009 8:07 p.m.

Defining the Infinite. It's a Problem.
Thanks, refried. Glad ya liked it. Really too academic for blog material, but I'm in the slow process of trying to eventually get all my old papers onto the pute, so I figured I might as well upload some of them here too. They were originally typed on an old word processor, and are only on floppies and hard copies. That YouTube user has put the entire Power of Myth series up -- still one of the greatest things ever shown on PBS. Don't know how long it will stay. I have it on beautiful VHS, myself. :)— November 22, 2009 5:42 p.m.
