What a Crash
Re #3: Yeah, I saw Leno last night too, Ponz.— December 10, 2009 3:56 p.m.
Succinctly And Not Entirely Unfairly
No, Hitler has no sense of humor at all. http://www.youtube.com/user/hitlerrantsparodies#p… And he explains why. http://www.youtube.com/user/hitlerrantsparodies#p…— December 10, 2009 3:54 p.m.
Succinctly And Not Entirely Unfairly
Re #2: Stella is working the same program on you that my "mom" worked on my Dad. She convinced him to buy a grocery store. She - let's call her Miss Scarlet - had grown up poor during the Depression (the first one) and she was NOT going to be hungry again!— December 10, 2009 3:42 p.m.
"T4M"
Holy smokes. In the entire history of female commiseration over cheating men, "You can do better" has never been a more legitimate response! Neither has CuddleFish's favorite cat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plWnm7UpsXk I was SO hoping you were going to say that your buddy arranged a rendezvous with Mr. Wonderful and showed up to bust him in person -- preferably uglying herself up to be the most hideous Shanaynay TV that's ever swaggered the Earth in a pair of stilettos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMS1um7D0pM That's what I woulda done. But that's just me. :)— December 10, 2009 9:24 a.m.
Poultry and Cosmology
"Correct, AG." BOO-YAH!!! Over 20 years since I read that book, too. What kind of NoPrize did I win? Big bowl of fish soup? I won't be adjusting any recipes, though, considering that I don't cook. :)— December 9, 2009 6:50 p.m.
Poultry and Cosmology
Re #16: Because it's 3 nerdy preppy white guys doing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnwgFAuQExE Hiphop? Fun. White nerds doing hiphop? Funny. :)— December 9, 2009 6:39 p.m.
Poultry and Cosmology
Hey, look everybody, refried's got a new recipe! http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2009/dec/09/wh… Okay, Re #19, that sounds like the Hitchhiker's Guide. So it'd be Douglas Adams.— December 9, 2009 6:31 p.m.
Things Are Going To Get Ugly
"...as the men go bravely out to die at the hands of the indestructible army." Wouldn't that be the "beaks" of the indestructible army? Or "leathery reptilian talons," or something? And Adam, if you think you're going to have nightmares already, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS! Bwaaahahahaha!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6x8Vx3wfPw Bet ya didn't see that coming. Neither did the bird, apparently. Smartypants bird, with its flying and whatnot, brought down by a crafty Ninja Turtle. (Now we know where THAT expression came from.) I thought the birds were going to get even in this next one, but alas, it was only a false hope, based on a missing hyphen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6SpH3ysbJA What with "deformed" birds hobbling cluelessly around together with gimpy and not-so gimpy tortoises, one has to wonder if this guy's yard isn't going to resemble an ongoing episode of Wild Kingdom. Birdthought: "Hey, that ugly rock I perched and s*** on a minute ago is coming over here..."— December 9, 2009 6:23 p.m.
Smiling, Unaware
Re #6 I did that a few times for courses during the summer, and was able to keep the book through the whole class, and not pay a cent. But the BEST thing that's ever happened to a college student? Behold: http://bigwords.com/ For those not familiar with BigWords.com, it's a search engine that works for textbooks just like Shopzilla or Pricegrabber does for other stuff. It checks Amazon, Alibris, Abe, EFollett, ECampus, Textbooks.com and everybody else you can think of, and puts the cheapest price right at the top of the list. One minor heads up: "Chegg" will often appear at the top, and that's because Chegg offers rentals. You have to return the book at the end of the semester. The package for my anatomy class this past spring was $180 at the bookstore. I bought the previous edition for $7.95 at BigWords. I got an "A." :)— December 8, 2009 10:10 p.m.
