The Walk
Lovely, cre0. I hope you are well and safe today.— October 30, 2009 5:26 p.m.
Now It's Your Thread
"I don't like dirty things, you can have it." Then why don't you just delete the whole mess? Your chalkboard, your eraser. :) Off to work.— October 30, 2009 6:16 a.m.
Halloween, Harvest Festival, Samhain...Call It What You Will!
Re #9: Huzzah! It appears that in this "best of all possible worlds," the best of all possible people has weighed in on this thread. :) Nice to meet ya, SunshinePaul. Have a beautiful Samhain!— October 30, 2009 6:09 a.m.
Halloween, Harvest Festival, Samhain...Call It What You Will!
I've always heard it pronouced Sow-un. Celtic. It's funky. Well, I don't call myself a pagan at all, but if it's down to a fight between them and Christians, guess which side I'm on. :) I just object to the Americanization/commercialization/cartoonization of all the (originally pagan) holidays, in general. They were once meaningful festivals, with an element of soul. This one, in particular, is their high holiday. I've only ever been to one Samhain circle. It was neat. Like I think I said before, the spirit of Samhain is closer to Dia de los Muertos than it is Halloween.— October 29, 2009 11:52 p.m.
The Removal
cre0, just thinking of you and hoping that you are well and safe this evening. Please let us hear from you tomorrow. Ideas & possible sources of help for you to consider: http://www.kumeyaay.info/california_indian_people… (I don't think it matters what tribe you are.) http://www.sandiegohostels.org/hostels/downtown.s… Hostels cater to young people and students. You might see if they will let you stay for no fee, assuming they're not full. You probably know these already: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&source=hp&um=1&… http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&view=t… Do you know what a "foreign exchange student" is, cre0? Normally, two families in different countries sort of swap their kids so each can have the experience of another country. A host family who's used to doing that sort of thing might host you. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&view=t… You can email your fingers off looking for help, but do you have any access at all to a phone? How about a bus pass? Keep us posted.— October 29, 2009 11:44 p.m.
Halloween, Harvest Festival, Samhain...Call It What You Will!
Okay, Cuddle. Here are those Samhain webpages I mentioned. I had cited them on one of Pike's entries a couple weeks back: http://www.chalicecentre.net/samhain.htm And I think this one is just one of the prettiest little webpages I've ever seen: http://whisperingworlds.com/wiccan/samhain.php "Halloween." Hrumpf!— October 29, 2009 11:25 p.m.

"He would prolly sell more if he had bigger balls." Prerequisite for salesmen in general. :) As to the Om in the sidewalk, maybe the ole B&C is really for the antsy meditator with ADD. I'm familiar with Phil, Pete. From what I've seen, I thought he was kinda boring. So was that collaborative effort called "The Station." Shane Dawson's part of that project, though, and I love HIM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mWqr8pb2MY :)— October 29, 2009 10:42 p.m.

LOL. You love that drama kitty, don't you, Cuddle? It IS the best one on YouTube. :)— October 29, 2009 10:17 p.m.
