Mr. Silva graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2005 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Anthropology. After college, he worked as a full-time high school English teacher in Ridgecrest. In 2008, he earned his M.A. at San Diego State University and wrote a thesis entitled “Claims of Identity in Bret Harte’s Gabriel Conroy.” He has worked as an adjunct instructor. He currently teaches.
Alan was founder and editor-in-chief of SDSU’s art and scholastic journal, Pandemonium, while he attended SDSU, and he is currently conducting research about modern life and the ancient world.
