Today the saddest day ever for Chargers fans
I'm sure Fabiani is behind the scenes, orchestrating the little charade by Spanos--announcing the move on the morning of the mayor's State of the City address. Fabiani is still getting paid by Spanos, and happy as a pig in slop.— January 12, 2017 12:26 p.m.
Chargers get an extra 48 hours
I just think it's funny that the 55 year figure was mentioned--when they have been here 56 years.— January 11, 2017 11:10 p.m.
Chargers leave, Chargers pay
The $12.575 million comes nowhere near paying off the last expansion of the stadium.— January 4, 2017 6:46 p.m.
A pile of egged-up ingredients
Been to that location numerous times. Never had any issues with the food or service. I can only suggest you go back and try again.— January 1, 2017 3:21 p.m.
Union leader denies sexual harassment charges
Mickey the Bat on the defensive. Marvelous.— December 27, 2016 2:29 p.m.
City's pension liability zooms up by $937 million
Don: It would be more interesting if the CITY takes the huge pension deficit into account. Somehow--I doubt it.— December 22, 2016 11:39 a.m.
Is the Copley estate historic?
And officially, it's not even in Del Mar.— December 21, 2016 7:17 p.m.
Auditor finds water workers' ethics in the toilet
My late father worked for the city water dept for 30 years, retiring in 1984. I think I remember him using a city vehicle 2 or 3 times during that period (when he had it at the house). Many more times than that, he used his personal vehicle (as a senior chemist with the water dept/water treatment plant supervisor, he would be called occasionally to check water quality issues or other problems). I just don't understand the need for the use of a city car, with the exception of official city business.— December 19, 2016 3:11 p.m.
If Chargers move to L.A., they'll have two losing teams
Except that would be selling the LA fans short--they aren't stupid. Plus, they have way too many other teams (many of them good) in the LA/OC area to worry about watching, than the team that may be formerly known as the San Diego Chargers.— December 19, 2016 12:17 p.m.
If Chargers move to L.A., they'll have two losing teams
Don: I have a source who said otherwise. Maybe that was just part of the controversy. But--weren't you still at the U-T when the selection of the East Village location was going on? You would know better than I, and I defer to your connections.— December 19, 2016 12:11 p.m.
