KPBS investigation: U-T discounted anti-Filner ads
The Manchester U-T is a newspaper in name only. They should save money by printing their daily tabloid on smaller paper. Will he own this long enough to destroy it completely? If/when he does sell, will he even get his money back? Better yet; will he move the operation to another area of the city, tear down the current U-T building, and put something else in it's place?— April 5, 2013 9:48 a.m.
Tourism drops sharply for month through March 23
justpow--I think the Zonies already know where to stay after all these years, and since I think it will be hot there again this year (like normal), it's safe to say that they will be here in droves.— March 27, 2013 8:47 p.m.
Vibrator giveaway doesn't appear to have swept San Diego
I've never been to Stingaree, but is there normally a line to get into the club between 2:30 and 6:30 on a Wednesday? It's time to move on, Don. We need you to cover more "penetrating" stories. (that's it--I swear, I'll quit now)— March 27, 2013 7:30 p.m.
Hot time in the old vice district this Wednesday
Don--sorry; someone had to ask that "probing" question.— March 27, 2013 11:56 a.m.
Hot time in the old vice district this Wednesday
Don--it's almost a new day; what's the latest "buzz" on this developing story?— March 26, 2013 11:26 p.m.
GOP super-lobbyist long tied to U-T San Diego publisher enters Padres TV fray
Take your time--there is no hurry, since the season starts NEXT WEEK.— March 26, 2013 2:02 p.m.
None
I see the Manchester U-T has finally picked up PART of this story. Nowhere in their article does it mention the part about McWethy's $11.75 mil bid on the property with his intent to not obtain title insurance.— March 21, 2013 9:39 a.m.
Will Chargers leave for LA? Which newspaper d'ya read?
tomjohnston--They can't settle it quickly? Ok; if you say so. It could be settled quickly. It could also end up in court. I don't know and neither do you. I am guessing what might happen. I might guess wrong. You are absolutely correct about one thing--McCourt is a weasel. Good night now.— March 20, 2013 7:33 p.m.
Will Chargers leave for LA? Which newspaper d'ya read?
tomjohnston--a settlement is just that. Neither one of us is in the room, so I don't know how it will be settled. For all I know, the settlement will probably wind up in court--whichever way it goes. Hell, people here are still trying to figure out the Padres deal, where that $200 mil went, and how much the O'Malley's actually paid for the club.— March 20, 2013 12:30 p.m.
Will Chargers leave for LA? Which newspaper d'ya read?
I agree with you--I just think it will be settled fairly quickly. Selig wants this Dodger ownership saga put to bed ASAP, and I think they will sit down and hammer out an agreement. But if not, it will be very interesting.— March 19, 2013 11:34 p.m.
