I've been waiting for a public discussion of selling/long-term leasing Balboa Park for years now... — June 9, 2010 2:39 p.m.
SDNN Will Go It Alone, Change Focus
RE #13: I only wish I had more time for research on California public utilities before blogging here... OK... I also wish I was paid to blog, but that's wishing for too much!— June 15, 2010 2:44 p.m.
How green are you?
"All the green idiots need to go take a physics class and pass." And we could do without the individuals on the other side as well who've allegedly taken three semesters of calculus-based Physics I/II/III but brain-flushed since then. The problem with the ones who passed all of them (and possible retained something about the dynamics of atmospheric conditions modeling rendered in four dimensions) is that as far as their individual mathematical ability to satisfactorily comprehend the constructs, their kung fu is weak.— June 12, 2010 1 p.m.
Dear Customers: $25 Million Uninsured Wildfire Billing by SDG&E
I was asked why some of the references were SHOWN IN ALL CAPS while one was Shown In Mixed Case. There was no good reason for the inconsistency except that was how the first available titles copied over from the original documents (see above). Maybe I should adopt a consistent rendering style... or not. It's just a blog, nothing I'm actually getting paid for the effort of writing, such little of that alleged effort there actually was... Who knows? For those who read this, maybe I'm just a 'bot!— June 12, 2010 12:48 p.m.

Zero evidence of solutions from the solution architect. Now, it is possible to do what Bill says, but there won't be any positive results until the number of us off this rock is on the order of billions. How we do that is left unsaid by the solution architect, but apparently that's not in his area of operation. On the other hand it IS slightly better than advocating feral anarchism until most of us starve to death. Like I said, zero evidence...— June 12, 2010 12:37 p.m.
City Wants Assessment of Qualcomm Stadium
It is quite possible that someone could re-write the above comments and submit them as a lower-cost alternative to the requested hand-picked... er, "qualified" consultant.— June 12, 2010 11:34 a.m.
Bring Your Own Concerns
RE #6: I'm sorry... I made that up a while ago and have used it only rarely for "Watching My Dentures Fly Across The Room" from explosive laughter...— June 12, 2010 11:13 a.m.
Bubble o' Trouble
"My advice to you, dear, is don’t drink and post, get a life, and get another avatar—this one is creeping me out." Sociologically, blogs and our comments on them function as third-person substitutes in a metaphor for something as vulgar as riding along on public transit, where one has no clue as to seatmates until one climbs aboard. This comment doesn't really mean anything. As a former English tutor, I've just wanted to make that metaphorical comparison for quite some time now. As for "Don't Drink and Post", it IS good sound advice, but some of us will go on and continue to type out anything while doing the mouse-over thang on the submit button, kind of like the intimate little games other people might play with partially-loaded handguns. Click!... Darn it... Click!... I think this is how I got started on my "Encanto Gas Holder" blogs...— June 12, 2010 11:10 a.m.

"... Brian Bilbray should also be contacted so he can offer workshops on alien identification." LMAO/WMDFATR... I predict any successful move by PB to limit alcohol licenses will have a substantial impact on student retention at nearby USD. God only knows how many sophomores move after their frosh year off campus into near-the-beach housing to get at beer and 'boards ASAP after lectures and well into the wee study hours of the morn... Has anybody done a count on closed-kitchen PB restaurants that offer good or even any previously-prepared food items between 10 PM and 2 AM?— June 12, 2010 10:17 a.m.
Downtown San Diego - A Dream Come True
And there IS a new main library downtown: the San Diego City College Learning Resource Center, located a lot closer to the Trolley line than any proposed main library site is or will be. The SDCC LRC is a WORKING library for downtown and surrounding communities, a place for people serious about improving their personal worth in the local labor market, not just another hangout for kind of people most real estate brokers don't want the potential buyer to even notice...— June 9, 2010 2:47 p.m.
