Will a Landmark ruling save the Ken?
"I leave you with Randi’s reassurance that no matter whose name is on the lease — Landmark, the Digital Gym, or a third bidder whose name I am not at liberty to release — the Ken will remain in operation as a single screen theatre" So does that mean the Ken will still be open March 23, just maybe with a new operator ?— March 9, 2020 5:21 p.m.
Will a Landmark ruling save the Ken?
Maybe if they played their midnight movies on Friday AND Saturday, instead of just Saturday............— March 6, 2020 2:10 p.m.

What about Vintage Theaters? Any chance they can take over ?— March 5, 2020 11:34 a.m.
Will a Landmark ruling save the Ken?
I remember the first time I visited the theater watching The Saddest Music in the World in 2004. Back then they were still using the old Carbon arc Projector, now if they can get that back and running............ Also I've NEVER! had an issue about parking. Are people really that lazy they cant walk 3/4 a mile ? lol.— March 5, 2020 11:31 a.m.
Will a Landmark ruling save the Ken?
I visited the Ken about 60 times give or take since 2014, when it was in danger of closing. So I think I'm doing my part. I don't care who operates the Ken, as long as the programing remains the same more or less, and has the same old school vibe. I could care less about recliners, in fact the old seats add to the charm. Thanks Scott for trying to keep this awesome theater a float.— March 5, 2020 11:22 a.m.
Landmark's Ken Cinema to close its doors March 22
Oh yeah their popcorn ain't bad ether. Also no obnoxious pre-show "entertainment" before the film. Just a blank screen with music. Whats not to love.— March 3, 2020 1:04 p.m.
Landmark's Ken Cinema to close its doors March 22
Sure the projection and sound can be sub-par, and the seats can be very uncomfortable, but man does it have character. I love that you can hear the train going by while the film is playing, the fact that the sometimes the box office person, concession stand clerk, and projectionist is the the same person, also every now and then the owner will bring his dog to the theater, also the architecture of the building. It has small town, cozy, mom and pop vibe. Unlike the bland corporate theaters *coughs* (AMC Regal), which I HATE! Yes I know the Ken is technically a corporate theater, but it does not feel like one at all.— March 3, 2020 11:06 a.m.
