When you refer to the "Republic of Dominica" you will confuse your readers who may not realise this is the "Commonwelth of Dominica" and NOT the "Dominican Republic" - a much bigger hispanic country 100 miles to the north of the smaller island in the eastern Carribean that you are actually referring to.
