Putting America Back To Work
cloud9driver loses all credibility when he compares marijuana with Oxycontin. Oxycontin is a dangerous drug that has caused many deaths from recreational use and prescription use. Marijuana, on the other hand, has never caused a death in recorded history. It is in an entirely different category from Oxycontin and opiate drugs. The fact is that there is no other effective drug that does not cause injury and death. Therefore calls to regulate marijuana the same way as really dangerous drugs is pure ignorance or insanity, take your pick. cloud9driver wrote: (1) The first thing is, if we are going to prescribe marijuana as a medicine, then treat it like a regulated drug. The controls in place for patients prescribed pain relievers, such as Oxycontin should apply to patients being prescribed /THC.— December 13, 2009 8:38 a.m.
