Coke-Pepsi's discreet war in North County
Costco did this a few years ago. They switched out Coke for Pepsi in their food courts at over 400 locations. They still sell a hot dog and soda for $1.50. Fun fact: Costco dishes out more than 100 million hot dogs at its food courts, which is more than four times what Major League Baseball sold at its ballparks in 2011, according to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council.— April 8, 2016 2:13 p.m.

Qualcomm engineers get axed, then train foreign replacements
It's amazing how many "nonimmigrant" visa's there are. Yet, a hefty percentage of these visa holders contact an attorney and begin the residency process the day they step off the airplane. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/general…— April 4, 2016 1:43 p.m.
Chargers release so-called financing plan
This story helps a little to understand the G-4 loan program. The NFL will adjust the amount of the loan based on how well the franchise gets the public to commit funding. http://newballpark.org/2013/10/17/the-limits-of-t… and http://newballpark.org/2012/02/02/49ers-get-200-m…— April 2, 2016 6:47 p.m.
Chargers release so-called financing plan
Now that the L.A. relocation threat has outlived its usefulness, I'm guessing the threat of relocating a team to London will be used in future stadium blackmail schemes.— April 2, 2016 6:44 p.m.
Qualcomm engineers get axed, then train foreign replacements
Both sides of the aisle support the H-1B. They get contributions from companies like Qualcomm that give money to both democrats and republicans. The H-1B lobby is powerful. There is an entire industry built around in-sourcing foreign nationals. Firms like InfoSys and Tata have a powerful lobby. People have been complaining to their representatives for years, but it falls on deaf ears. They just talk about it and no one actually does anything to reduce the numbers. The tech industry just wants to increase the number of visa's. As it stands, there are over 1 million foreign nationals in the U.S. today using these visas. And companies like SCE and Disney are getting bold and laying off hundreds of Americas after they train their Indian replacements. I only wish we could use the H-1 visa to replace our lawyers and politicians.— April 1, 2016 12:03 p.m.
Qualcomm engineers get axed, then train foreign replacements
Why are our national parks contracting with foreign companies to operate concessions in our parks? Someone must have had a big bag of money or Swiss bank account to sign off on that. This is exactly what has been spoiling the opportunities for our children's future in America.— March 31, 2016 8:59 p.m.
