Disabled workers say Navy contractor Job Options, Inc.did wrong
These 'employers' sound like folks looking for cheap labor and profits from big government contracts. I don't believe the "it's the Affordable Care Act" excuses - total window dressing. Reducing an employees wage from $14 to $12 is a 14% hit (assuming a 40hr a week job minus 2 weeks vacation and a bigger hit if it is less than that) in salary. That's huge - especially if you're disabled. I wonder what Jeffery Johnson's paycheck is? Either your in a business to employ people with disabilities because you want to or you are not. If you're looking for cheap labor and profits move your business overseas. Also, what is the Reasonable Accommodations policy with these companies? The EEOC should be looking into companies like these. And where are these 'disability lawyers' you see advertised everywhere? I'm sure there are some descent well meaning nonprofits in the government program and there are folks with disabilities getting employed with all the benefits that come it but there are always those looking to prey on the weak - I think you might of found a few of them.— November 4, 2015 7:40 p.m.
