Hi Chad. Just to clarify, Eric Yo wasn't involved with the first dubstep show thrown in San Diego. In fact, I'm not even sure that Eric Yo was in attendance that night. The show was called "Dubstep 101" and took place on Friday, March 30th, 2007 at the Beehive in Downtown SD. The show was thrown by myself and my wife Morgan, with help from my friend Jamie aka DJ Mezi and my sponosors Resonate for Future Existence, and inspiration from San Diego dubstep artists Intex Systems (aka ASC) and Vaccine. We didn't have a huge turnout, but a seed was planted in the local scene that night which ended up spawning artists like Paul "The P-Man" Howland and others in the current San Diego Dubstep scene. Here is a link to a post on my old blog announcing the show for your reference: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blo… Regardless of who did what and when, I am amazed at how much dubstep has grown in San Diego over the past 3.5 years and I am proud to have been a part of it when I was. Thank you.— July 28, 2010 10:57 p.m.
