Left out of the above story is that the committee is privately funded and the meetings lay outside the open government laws and are not open to the public. Who is funding the committee and why did the Mayor feel the need to do an end around the public? Watch this deal cost the taxpayers of the City of San Diego far more fiscally then the Filner Scandal.— February 3, 2015 11:15 a.m.

Chargers stadium task force "packed"
There it is, the use of bayside real-estate that is used 8-20 times a year is a piss poor way to utilize that space. Throw in the fact that the hotel owners financed the minimum wage increase recall (a rose by any other name) and you take away the argument that this benefits everyone. You have to wonder how this would have played out if Filner were still in office. I'd bet the citizens would have greater input into the final outcome.— February 1, 2015 9:33 a.m.
Chargers stadium task force "packed"
Now we know why you aren't on the committee Don.— February 1, 2015 9:18 a.m.

Gunman gets 100 years in prison — "overly harsh"?
Clearly society is much better off with this fellow out of circulation. Overly harsh? For a murder of a young woman accusing him of rape? Not at all.— January 30, 2015 3:36 p.m.
