Medical Marijuana Activist Files Complaint Against Anti-Pot Groups
Here's what I know. I used to smoke as a teen and quit for 10 years. I have recently started up again for medical purposes. I would consider myself lower middle class. I have a good job and I work 40+ hours a week. But I can't afford medical insurance. I feel sick after I eat sometimes, nauseous, light headed, etc. I can't wait until I get off work so I can go home to smoke. And I don't smoke that much. I smoke maybe half a bowl and I'm good. I feel good. Not sick, not stoned either. Just... normal. I know that I should see a Dr. for my symptoms but the reality is, I can't afford it, and this is working. There are lots of people like me who have weird things wrong with them and nothing's working or they can't address it because of financial reasons. This is why I smoke. I don't cause a scene, I don't smoke in public. I just smoke to feel better... to feel normal again. I also don't see the difference between this "drug" and the federally approved prescriptions which are recommended daily by doctors across the country. I do agree that MMJ should be available in pharmacies/drug stores exclusively and you must have a prescription. I'm not disillusioned, and I don't put it on the same level as Tylenol or aspirin, which is why I think it should be legal, but regulated. That's my 2 cents. I dunno. I think anyone who opposes it, should give it a try when they're feeling bad. Maybe they'll dig it.— July 20, 2011 1:21 p.m.
