Sinaloa cartel tunnels to Otay Mesa are infrastructural marvels
The problem is not that San Diegans find this old hat. They never really get exposed to much of the reality of their region because the local newspapers and weekly tabloids like this one are so lousy and incompetent. And yeah, it gripes me to see reporters from the LA Times or New York hit the border for 48 hours and write a skewed story about something I know much more about, but I've gotten used to it. Reading the New Yorker doesn't catch you up with the world, just Manhattan. Pick up the LA Times and suddenly see that there is all this amazing stuff HAPPENING out there, and written about intelligently.— December 21, 2015 7:41 p.m.
