Blackout looming for Chargers' NFL playoff game?
Owning such a store would be like Christmas all over again. Could potentially earn profits for the entire year. NFL football is unique there; the only team in the League owned "the fans".— January 2, 2014 4:45 p.m.
Blackout looming for Chargers' NFL playoff game?
The weather forecast for the game in Greenbay, Wisconsin, is four degrees ferinheight at game time. What nut job is willing to spend $300 and risk their health/life to watch a bunch of overpaid whiners play a game. Betcha some of those numbskulls i.e. part owners just go to see the urine freeze in the public restrooms at Lambeau Field, considering it a "Packer" rite of passage. I rather be warm and snug at home counting my $300 bucks than brave a Greenbay winter day during our period of global warming.— January 2, 2014 3:25 p.m.
Citizens for Odor Nuisance Abatement sues city
Your right. Former Mayor Filner groped his way out of office. Head lock and all.— December 28, 2013 7:09 a.m.
Citizens for Odor Nuisance Abatement sues city
Apparently this attempt http://www.10news.com/news/bird-waste-cleanup-at-… did not satisfy those who have now brought suit.— December 27, 2013 11:30 a.m.
Citizens for Odor Nuisance Abatement sues city
I don't know, this whole story sound fishy! This thing with the seals and the cove just stinks as we waste more money litigating nature. It's another example of govt imposing its will where it's not needed.— December 27, 2013 8:46 a.m.
Who's he think he is? Santa Claus?
And, just to give a little more cynical perspective on Peters charitable giving. He gave more than $20,000 to political causes in 2012. And, as far as I can tell none of it with giant sized checks with photo ops. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/news-ticker…— December 24, 2013 10:16 a.m.
Who's he think he is? Santa Claus?
According to wiki links: For more than two decades, Peters has lived with his family in La Jolla, which is now part of the 52nd Congressional District. He and his wife, Lynn E. Gorguze, president and CEO of Cameron Holdings. Peters is one of the wealthiest members of Congress. He has a net worth of $86 million. Most has been achieved through venture capital investing. Cynical? Maybe. But IMO this photo op is intended to portray Mr. Peters as something he is not. While serving himself not the folks he represents in San Diego. As wealthy as he is this donation is the equivalent of you dropping the spare change in your pocket into a SA Christmas kettle. I bet when you make your donation you don't have, or need, a gigantic check poster to proclaim it.— December 24, 2013 2:50 a.m.
Who's he think he is? Santa Claus?
Just Wondering why Peters needs a photo op and a gigantic check to make a charitable contribution? Oh... That's right he a politician! The rest of us just donate what we can to support these folks. Politicians, like Peters, need to make it look like it's MORE then what the rest of us are doing. They're all scum.— December 23, 2013 4:08 p.m.
Spike strip ends low-speed car chase in O.B.
What about the violation of the PD's Pursuit Policy. Where were the supervisors during thus pursuit?— December 17, 2013 11:46 a.m.
Hitchcock star wins $1.5 million for San Diego accident
So the facts of the case were never really resolved, but the alleged malpractice was worth 1.5 million. Figures this is California you know... Where people wonder why EVERYTHING is so expensive...it's judgements and awards like this that cause it. Then we all pay for it one way or another.— December 17, 2013 11:41 a.m.
