San Diego Tenth Most Expensive City
I don"t know how much you pay in utilities now, but electricity is incredibly expensive in SD and getting more so all the time. If you live normally, with a fridge, etc, most people pay $100-200 a month. You may be able to get by without AC unless you live inland any distance. You may be able to cut back on heat, assuming you are hardy and remain healthy. Good luck.— October 1, 2011 12:24 a.m.
San Diego Tenth Most Expensive City
Yes, you get what you pay for. Although SD has a nice climate, and you might enjoy it for some things, you may not for others. For instance, mass transit is almost nonexistent. It's a car culture, and most people spend large chunks of the day in their vehicles. Culture is also not much for a city this size. Recreation is good, though, as you can be outdoors all year on your bike or whatever. Suggest you visit at least once before you decide.— September 30, 2011 11:50 p.m.
