Good points, Visduh. I guess my point is...you can't "blame" cops for going in this direction. Tuite, as they said, was loud where ever he went. They couldn't see him "quietly" slipping into a house. Also very suspicious that this happened, on the night that this boy had his friend spending the night. So, an ADDED PERSON in the house, wasn't allerted to Tuitte slipping in the backdoor (and who doesn't lock their doors? someone please explain that to me). And as weird as you say 15-year-olds act, why would one act weird (who has a knife collection and is into Dungeons & Dragons, and who was jealous of his sister and her good grades) and another make up an elaborate story about being the "look out"? It makes no sense. Sure, one kid doing something weird. But one kid giving details about how he was the look-out. In regards to posts going in other directions...isn't that the fun of it all? Kind of like being at a party, and conversations are about all kinds of things, not just one topic the entire night.— September 14, 2009 10:44 a.m.
Police Officer and Rapper -- One Kills a Man. One Gives Away Cars.
That's a very good point, SomeoneElse. Which is exactly why, when my friends bitch and moan about the homeless, I'm a bit more sensitive. Because I don't just think it's drunks out there. Often times, it's people that should be in a mental institution, but were sent away. I actually heard that from a friends mom in high school that worked at one of those hospitals. Since the topic of this was a rapper and a cop, here's a rapper update: The always insane Kanya West, on an MTV video awards show last night, didn't like the fact that 19-year-old country star Taylor Swift won. So he took the award out of her hand, and instead of letting her give an acceptance speech, he talked about how Beyonces video was better and should've won. At least he was booed. I wish he would've been punched. Serena Williams was at the event, and she had a melt down earlier on the court, threatening to shove a ball down a judges "f***ing throat". Yet, Whoopi Goldberg on The View, defended these actions, saying she shouldn't have been penalized a point for this. How about these people get some anger management going? Whoopi included (she said when she's in a bad mood, she feels like killing someone...and I saw her on TMZ the other day, screaming at a cameraman).— September 14, 2009 10:36 a.m.
Fat People Flying
You guys are both right. But what bothers me the most, isn't the financial aspect of them paying less, yet using more airplane fuel. It's the fact that people can't sit comfortably next to them. It would be like being at a movie theatre, and using the drink holder on your right for the drink. And the holder on the left for your wallet, keys and cell phone...and not worrying about whether the person next to you might have a drink they want to put in there.— September 14, 2009 10:32 a.m.
None
Well...Steve Miller did that not because of his command of the English language, but his love of the blues. They have a long tradition of writing lyrics with words that aren't used properly. The Stones have songs like that, as well as the Beastie Boys, and so many others. It irritates me more when someone like Jim Morrison, an amazing songwriter and poet, writes a crap line like: Hills are filled with fire/If they say I never loved you/You know they are a liar." Or McCartney sings: In this every changing world, in which we live in. But, when someone is singing a fast paced, bluesy-rock song, all rules of language go out the window.— September 14, 2009 1:47 a.m.

mudshark...awesome post. I couldn't agree more. And, to add something to all the things you listed, when the cop shot the guy in the tank, there were idiots that said "why did they shoot him? the tank was stuck and no longer moving." So, they can't win even when they put their lives on the line by opening a tank with a madman inside of it. Surf...dude, you're so wrong about cops. Explain to me why in the Stefanie Crowe case...the police DID NOT charge the family with the drugs they had in their house. Or, why the 15-year-old boy was just sitting there playing video games, as cops were investigating his sister murdered in the room next to his? Doesn't that lead to suspicion on the cops part? Or, the fact that no locks were broken, because "supposedly" they left the back door unlocked. When cops THINK someone did it, there are usually reasons. NOT because they're just a bunch of dirty cops on the take, or whatever Hollywood movie you've imagined. Besides...one of the boys ADMITTED to the crime (and don't say that it's because the cops were "abusing" him...he asked for a Sprite and to go to the bathroom, and they let him. Then he admitted all that! SUre, he didn't have a lawyer present so it wasn't used in court, but...explain what dinkus of a 15-year-old would admit to something HE DID NOT DO.— September 14, 2009 1:45 a.m.
San Diego Stupid Chargers -- The Tila Tequilla Edition
I don't doubt that. The few times I saw clips of her show, where she had men and women vie for her "love", she seemed insane. And in interviews, she had this annoying fake laugh. BUT, it's up to Merriman to vett out the pyschos. When I worked in radio, there would be women at events that would come on to any DJ. And you could tell RIGHT AWAY, that they weren't right in the head. Yet, some DJs still slept with them. And then they bitched and moaned, when the woman started hanging around the parking lot waiting for them to get off the air, etc.— September 13, 2009 7:33 a.m.
El Cajon no-smoking law flouted
I wonder if all threads would be easier to follow the Don Bauder way. Example: Response to 11: Yes, smokers are annoying. Response to 12: Yes, non-smokers talking about fast food are annoying. Respone to 13. I agree. Respone to 16: I haven't heard of that, but I'll look into it. Respone to 17: No. Response to 22: Litter and fire...we both agree on that. Best, Josh.— September 13, 2009 1:31 a.m.
From 11-Months to 115 Years Old
Well, for a newspaper ad, that's not bad. The safe assumption would be, that the gun wasn't loaded. The problem is...people that do photos like this with their babies, are hardly the ones that take all safety concerns into account. It gives gun owners a bad name, but...gun owners have to start realizing, many of the owners are complete tools, and that's why the debate over gun ownership rages on.— September 13, 2009 1:27 a.m.
El Cajon no-smoking law flouted
And might I recommend...if you see a smoker with a cancer stick danglin' out the window...honk at them when they chuck the thing into the street (they always will). It lets them know you saw their littering (and potential fire hazard).— September 12, 2009 3:10 p.m.
Homeless SDSU Football Coach
I wondered when this story first broke (and the guys jaw broke), if police look at a case like this the way they do with domestic violence charges. Meaning, the wife may be crying, with a broken nose and bloody face, telling the cops she was sorry and it was her fault and that she doesn't want him to go to jail. I can imagine an assistant coach might do the same thing, as this is the head coach and he might not want him to lose his job (or him, for that matter). And, if this guy DID press charges, and then lost his job, could he sue the Raiders for firing him "for that reason"? When, in actuality, coaches lose jobs all the time (especially if you're involved with the Raiders). It's not like another job where you might complain about a boss, and if you're fired because of the complaint, you'd probably have a slam dunk of a lawsuit.— September 12, 2009 3:07 p.m.
