Shocked at Small Crowd
Actually, they brought some small thing with a candle in it to the girl. And, of course, the women I was with started shouting that it was my birthday. And, well...my love of "free cake" almost didn't shut them up. Anthology is a good venue, but very pricey. I weasled my way in free, but then they have a $20 food/drink minimum per person. And, with the food, it was expensive (although, I had a steak that might've been the best I've ever had). The bill for 3 people to eat, without appetizers or alcohol, was $80! For that price, you better bring my ass some free pastry!!!!— October 5, 2007 10:04 a.m.
Blue Balls in the Hospital
Yes, that's true Hinky. But he's so much better than me. Also, I don't think he sits back and reflects like that. I'm convinced nobody in society does. Everyone, everywhere, does such idiotic stuff, that I don't think later he says to himself "I cheated to win, even though I could usually beat Josh without cheating. he never cheats, and he still sometimes beats me. Damn it!!" I just think he leaves the court happy, if he wins. No matter how that win came about.— October 4, 2007 10:44 a.m.
Blue Balls in the Hospital
I think I like hinky more than you, towelheaded. Actually, it doesn't show my "competitive nature" by doing that. "Revenge" is like the ol' "two wrongs don't make a right." If a bully is picking on a kid, and you tell the kid to stand up for himself, and he punches the bully in the nose and is no longer bothered, I'm sure there are some that would say that's the wrong course of action. Yet, others would agree, that's the only way. Now, where my competitiveness does show thru, is when he makes bad calls and cheats, and it makes me try so much harder to beat him, just knowing that that would kill him (not literally...or wait, maybe, literally). But even that I don't consider a "competitive response," just anger.— October 3, 2007 10:46 a.m.
Don't Quote Me
Yes, I did. My bad.— October 3, 2007 10:42 a.m.
Suge Knight in Shining Armour
Yes, agreed. They were both "crazy". Fine. But guess what? That doesn't give someone the right to murder someone. I think Nicole was planning on having an affair with a waiter that was bringing back her sunglasses (she lit candles and a lot of other stuff). Doesn't mean she deserved to die from OJ. And, in car accidents where both people are at fault, they deal with their respective insurance agents. If one murders the other, you can do all the character assasination on Lana Clarkson you want. It doesn't give Spector the right to murder her. That was the entire premise of The Accused, with Jodi Foster. She was drunk, and acting seductively in a bar with a bunch of rowdy guys. She made some VERY BAD decisions, but that didn't mean the guys could rape her.— October 2, 2007 1:59 a.m.

Suge Knight in Shining Armour
hinky, this is the first time I've ever hated something you wrote. You have to seriously use some logic. Someone suicidal doesn't go to someones house and do it (with their gun, no less). Why didn't she have a knife to slit her wrists? Or a gun? Or pills to OD on (no kids, don't try any of that at home...I'm just sayin'). This guy left $500 tips when he ordered coffee. She was probably looking for a meal ticket. A way back into the industry. When he wanted something for that, and it wasn't going to happen, he pulled out a gun. Now, if this was someone with NO track record of this, okay. But he has a history of pulling guns on people. So, why does this surprise anyone? It's the same way nobody was surprised OJ did an armed robbery recently, yet if Tiki Barber did, it would blow our minds.— September 30, 2007 1:26 a.m.

The Lowe Down
Yeah, I love that song. A lame movie called 200 Cigarettes used it 10 years ago. I bought the soundtrack, because it had all these great songs (like Joe Jackson's IT'S DIFFERENT FOR GIRLS).— September 28, 2007 1:59 a.m.

Hey Patrick, I've been thinking. I love football. And, you love football. So, it's only natural. Let's go halves on a team. I say, value wise, we scoop up either the Patriots or the Dolphins.— September 26, 2007 5:54 p.m.
