Police Officer Shootings
Yeah, I noticed that, but I didn't mind. Because, I AM NOT RACIST, so why would I mind if someone thought I wasn't a Caucasian? Just like I don't mind when people think I'm gay, just because I like talking on the phone and what not. I mean...helllo! But, I digress. You guys are being rather nice to Spliff, which is totally cool. There's always so much fighting on websites with posters. I like this whole vibe we kinda have had going. And if SPliff wants to spout off, it's all good. He just has to have a brain when he does it. And going on and on about the government, and ameriKKKa and all that crap, is just lame. And makes little sense. I'm all for pot being legalized, but to act like prisons are just filled with pot smokers, and the government is getting rich from prison labor, is just absurd.— April 25, 2009 3:37 a.m.
A Cop and Contestant in a Pagaent
Well, I think because of her when people say "You know, opposites attract," I'm going to say "I know. Men and women are always marrying, yet they're the opposite sex. It's insane."— April 25, 2009 3:33 a.m.
Electric Cigarettes, Cyrus, Homeless, Chinese...Something offensive for everyone!
The "step on it" point is actually a very good one. I hadn't really given the smokers consideration on that.— April 25, 2009 3:32 a.m.
Parents Gone Wild
My friend and I were at a movie, soon after the OJ case started (the first one). It was a romantic comedy, if memory serves. And someone said something along the lines of "Don't make me go OJ on you." And not only did we laugh, but we were happy that OJ would probably be in the movie theatre somewhere on a date, with a blonde woman that looked a lot like Nicole, and would have to suffer with comments like that.— April 25, 2009 3:30 a.m.
George W. Bush Today
I think Palin kind of got a bad rap, but as a Democrat, I really don't care. I think it's funny that McCain is totally dissing her now. I also think it's funny that the vetting process was done so horribly with her, to not know about the pregnant kid, and to not realize that by having her on the ticket, you could no longer knock Obama's lack of experience; and to not think people (ie women) wouldn't just realize the republicans were putting her on the ticket for the angry Hillary fans.— April 25, 2009 3:28 a.m.
What have you done that most people haven't?
What call letters does the radio station rhyme with?— April 25, 2009 3:25 a.m.
Reader writers' favorite drinks and where they drink them
I'm heading out to go to parties and drink in a few minutes here. I never knew Steinbeck was a drinker. Saroyan, yes. Check out his son, he writes some interesting poetry as well. Bukowski. Yeah, I think that's all he wrote about! I was looking at the cover of the Reader, and I just assumed it was Mike Myers. But the photo credit listed the "model". Strange.— April 24, 2009 6:27 p.m.
Celebrity Idiots -- The Jamie Fox and Hulk Hogan Edition
Even if you don't have the body of the Hulkster, you could still probably pull off the hairstyle. Just dye the hair blonde, and cut it all off in the front! Yes, I realized that was just an expression. I was making a joke, because in America, the expression "LOL" is popular in emails. It means that someone said something so funny, that you "Laughed Out Loud." Which, in a way is strange, because they write LOL even if you say something that's not all that funny, just cute. And as I'm sure even the Russians and Americans do the same, to "laugh out loud" something has to REALLY be funny. SO, your use of fallen under the table, reminded me of that. Although, if a Russian tells me they've fallen under the table, I usually think it's from drinking too much Smirnoff!— April 24, 2009 4:31 p.m.
A Cop and Contestant in a Pagaent
I would love for someone to say to her, "Hey toots, do you realize that it's not just the answer you gave about gay marriage, but you said idiotic things like 'I think I believe' and 'there is same sex marriage and opposite marrige'. Maybe if she cohesively answered it, while still stating her views, it would've been different.— April 24, 2009 4:28 p.m.
Electric Cigarettes, Cyrus, Homeless, Chinese...Something offensive for everyone!
in that situation i have to side with him over you. just barely. it stinks that you were scared, but i love that he had the **** to call you on it. my friends never want to do that, and they hate when i do. it's strange how at that time, you probably would've hated if you saw someone throw a Pepsi can out a car window, but didn't think about your cigarettes in gutters. at least you learned from it. others just continue going on their merry way, doing their own thing, and not carrying about how if affects anyone else.— April 24, 2009 4:25 p.m.
