"Documented skin-head" denies four new felonies
I would like to thank all these gang idiots for getting tattoos so they are easily caught and convicted. All the way back to Roman times, Tattoos were a mark for slaves, criminals, and whores. Since they could run and change their name, but the tattoo would always identify their place in society. It sure is thoughtful, that this same class of folks, continues to voluntarily uphold the tradition, and make themselves readily identifiable as to their true character. Keep up the good work. We should even provide tax breaks, to help them segregate themselves.— September 10, 2012 11:24 p.m.
Strong-Arming Tactics Not New For U-T San Diego CEO John Lynch
Barbz, that is moronic. All car Museums remove the gasoline prior to putting the car in the museum. Duh. And yes it is true, this city's left wing bureaucrats are extremely anti-business. Big Businesses like UT can fight past you. But small businesses like mine, wither and die in the red tape.— August 8, 2012 7:04 a.m.
Encinitas Man Charged With Felony Spitting-On-Cop
I think that man is Daft, forget the ari part. What a creep, I wish I was on this jury, 10 years.— August 6, 2012 10:16 p.m.
San Diego Top-Ten Most Eco-Friendly City In Nation
Because "Real Men" don't eat Sushi and Re-cycle? Sorry guys but I like Sushi, and recycling.— August 4, 2012 9:29 p.m.
Screw U: The Next Bubble May Be Higher Education
The Fed always gets gouged (in return for campaign cash) by the middleman. Why do we need the lenders, when the loan is guaranteed? Why should they skim 10% in fees, plus 90% of the interest? If the Fed lends them the money for no fee, and .25% interest, and the bank charge 10% fees plus 3.5% interest. It is a racket. Then the default fee is 35% of the balance, and in late fees.. I borrowed $44,000 and now with all the above mentioned fees the balance is $141,000. So I am now at about 30% Principal and 70% fees and interest. Good thing banks are exempt from usuary laws. I think that the principal should always be collected, but the fees and interest and penalties, are outrageous, and should be forgiven under certain circumstances.— August 2, 2012 3:57 p.m.
U.S. Considers Southbound Border Inspection Stations
This is ridiculously stupid. First, if Mexico is worried about contraband entering their country, they can set up whatever customs program they choose at their cost. Secondly, we have no control over what they allow or not. We would have to write a whole new category of laws regarding exiting property. Third, we are creating a new bureaucracy, dept of export. Last it is wicked precedent, we currently have no customs and immigration requirements (and Approval) to leave the country (Exit Visa). This may seem like a small freedom and liberty, but with this new law, now you need to "check out" with the government before leaving the country. Bad Bad Bad.— July 12, 2012 10:14 a.m.
