Cat Killer on the Loose
My family lives in the housing tracks off Govenor Drive in University City and our cat has been missing for 2 weeks now. We put up signs and talked with neighbors and found out there are other missing cats as well. We've lived in UC for over 20 years and in that time had one cat hit by a car, one we actually found beating eaten by a coyote (15 years ago when we still lived on the edge of Rose Canyon) and another die of old age during that time. We've always allowed our cats to roam outside as they please and they've always come home. Some neighbors I've talked to speculated about coyotes, but just yesterday more signs went up in the neighbor claiming that it isn't a coyote, but a "CAT KILLER" in the area and these people have had 3 cats go missing. I work in Clairemont and there's even a couple of "missing cats" signs there too. What the hell is going on in our neighborhoods? Beware that something is taking/killing our belived pets and it needs to be addressed.— August 13, 2009 1:19 p.m.
