Bugged by U-T Litterbugs
~ The Wheels are Falling Off the U-T "Community Values" & "Encinitas Advocate" Throwaway Wagon ~ Doug Manchester's Trojan "grandfathering" Horse stumbles in Encinitas City & Dago County: On Wednesday 8/20/14, at 6:pm, I'll present a timeline of the U-T's plan for blanketing San Diego County with at least two throwaway publications from their collection of (9) local papers they've scooped-up since 2010, when Doug Manchester blew into town and bought up a few hotels and the Union Tribune from Copley - and began creating his own publishing legacy, by referring news releases from one news source to another, giving the appearance that they were are separately owned...... NOT! All are Manchester projects. :) tee-hee! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Joan from Code Enforcement just called to say that they are working on the "litter law" issue with their legal department and are not sure whether an ordinance can be constructed before Wednesday, so I would like to send over (3) additional pictures that I will take this evening of U-T's bagged-periodicals that are still left in the road, and on the shoulders of Crest Dr. I can have those photos by 6:45 p.m tonight. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• And later, about my appearance at the August 20th town meeting: You are welcome to speak at Council if you want to. I can't guarantee that the home delivery will stop – I can only guarantee that your complaint will get to Code Enforcement with a strong urging from me that they do something. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••• On Sunday, August 17, 2014 6:31 PM, Lisa Shaffer <[email protected]> wrote: I've passed this on to our Council secretary to assign to Code Enforcement. I believe we have already determined that throwing a plastic-wrapped paper or ads that were not requested would be considered littering and our Code Enforcement staff should follow up on your complaint. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2014/a…— August 19, 2014 9:44 p.m.
La Mesa fed up with ad circulars dumped on driveways
Each city needs to create their own litter law. If we're successful in Encinitas, and I've been told by the City Council and Code Enforcement that they were preparing an ordinance yesterday, Aug. 18, 2014, and are moving forward on a "litter-law" daily - then Maryann in Code Enforcement said she would propose the same thing to the Valley Center City Council. It wasn't hard to accomplish, when the litterbugs are on the wrong side of public opinion from the jump. Trying to squeeze a buck from a county of hicks that think, they deserve to be dumped on by a savy east-coast publisher. Well it worked for the U-T since June 20, 2014, but Pot People happen to be enlightened enough to say, "(3) months is enough or your bull-shxx - and send a carpetbagger packing. ~~~~ You just have to keep squawking and then SQUAWKKKKKKKK!!! some more, but you can not stop SQUAWKING - or you'll get zero respect.— August 19, 2014 4:16 p.m.
