Keeping Secrets/ The Ties Which Bind

Judge Confirms Ruling; Sanders Must Give Deposition
I assume Mr. Bauder's question was rhetorical. I am shocked again to think that our DA is in the pockets of the establishment. Going for blood in Toy Gate case is like shooting ducks in a barrel may be a whole lot safer than bird hunting with Dick Cheney.— July 9, 2010 5:01 p.m.
Comic Relief is Dead
In my limited experience I think there is always room for two smart asses on the site. Thank you for the Welcome Aboard. Hopefully, no one is humming the theme song from the Titanic at this moment.— July 9, 2010 4:18 p.m.
Judge Confirms Ruling; Sanders Must Give Deposition
Shocked. The Mayor "knows" a felon and a political insider. Does "know" mean acquainted with in its present use or something more sinister. The DA could not pursue this case because she was going after an elderly woman in what I call "Toy Gate."— July 9, 2010 4:14 p.m.
Tentative Ruling: Sanders Must Give Deposition
LiLo is a former child star trying to game the system. She wants to appeal a 90 day jail sentence for violating the terms of her probation. Her attorney of record apparently quit perhaps because the young lady is described as "recalcitrant" in some published articles. Would the Mayor ever be recalcitrant ? Will the City Attorney himself represent the Mayor at the depo if it goes forward ? Does Judge Meyer perhaps need SDPD protection due to his most recent ruling in this matter ? Inquiring minds want to know.— July 9, 2010 2:13 p.m.
Comic Relief is Dead
No tranny jokes allowed - "guy/gal."— July 9, 2010 1:35 p.m.
Tentative Ruling: Sanders Must Give Deposition
Join hands and pray that His Honor does not copy Lindsay Lohan and wear nail polish with something crude stenciled on each of his middle fingers at this deposition.— July 9, 2010 12:52 p.m.
Comic Relief is Dead
With the blogisphere spinning out of control at this site, I am having difficulty keeping up with the removed posts, redirected posts, and all that jazz. While I agree that some content can be viewed from a reader's perspective, other content is just plain nasty whether a mental patient writes it or not. I would like to see the editorial standards printed for what is "acceptable" humor and what is not. Referencing a woman's monthly blood flow and connecting it to a pentagram is weird, repulsive, and offensive to me. But this blog remains in all of its questionable glory. Since a meat product was mentioned, should the blog be thrown into the recipe section ? Or entertainment ? Or maybe just removed ? I just ate a Twinkie so I have legal defense for what I wrote.— July 9, 2010 12:38 p.m.
Tentative Ruling: Sanders Must Give Deposition
From what I read if there are underlying criminal issues, the Mayor could take the Fifth but it is normally not part of a civil case. I am confused.— July 9, 2010 10:57 a.m.
